Science451 demos

I have added all demos by Science451 that I could find here, with screenshots of each part. Once I have the time, I will add full credits to each demopart too.
You can click the title of the demo to download it (or go to productions to download all our demos, or the demos you are interested in).
Some of these texts are just placeholders, I'll more info as I find the time for it.

16 years of silence
The source code for this demo

The intro to this demo, which is Glercs last mega-intro. Since I couldnt find an impacker for this, I ripped it from another demo

Credits:
Code: Glerc.
Music: Amok
Part 1 of the actual demo. Based on an old FLD-routine that I found on a routine disc (but never had used). I rewrote most of it, added a lot of colorbars, and used a tune by Drake/V42 which was used in of our first productions (S451 Sonics #001)

Credits:
Code & Graphics: H.O.
Music: Drake/V42
Part 2 of the demo, based around the idea of correcting some errors I did back when I was active.

Credits:
Code: H.O
Music: Gaunt
Graphics: Spirit

7 line music

7 Line music consists of one part, and this is it.

Credits:
Code: Polonus

80 demo

Part 1 of this demo, made by Iron, and also a reason he was kicked out of S451.

Credits:
Code: Iron.
Part 2 of this demo.

Part 3 of this demo.

At last

This demos was released by Spirit when he joined Science451

Audio tape

The intro to this demo.
Since the main part is just a sampling, I took no screenshot on it.

Code: Moskwa TV

Art collection 1

The intro to this demo.

Code: Galleon
The main part of the demo, displaying one of the pictures in it.

Back Strike
The intro to this demo.
Part 1, which uses a lot of rasters. As you can read in the scroll text we had to rewrite it several times since people kept pulling the plug on us, which meant the demo wasnt released at the party as planned, but rather a few days later.
Part 2, which contains the greetings. Due to several accidents, which also delayed the demo a bit, the wrong greeting list was used and it gets cut off after half the greetings.
The final part. In this part you can enter different keywords (group names, handles, etc) and get differents texts.

Bad taste
The Intro to this demo. As in most of our later productions (89 and forward) we used one of Glercs intros.
Part 1, with ridicously many dycp-scrolls. (Has anyone ever read these? Without cheating and reading them directly in the memory that is)
Some pixel plotting, some rastersplits (with sprites over them, which changes the timing somewhat)
Two rotating scrolls.
Four bouncing scrolls.

Ball scope
The intro, which uses the first version of Polonus intro. There is a second version, with a hi-res logo, but I actually prefer this version.
The main part, with some balls on the screen.
Still the main part, a lot more balls on the screen now though.

Beatbox collection
The intro to beatbox collection. I havent added any screenshots from the main part, since that is only a collection of beatboxes (soundmonitor with digi-samples)

Beatbox creator
The intro to beatbox creator. I havent added any screenshots from the main part, since that is a tool to create your own beatboxes (soundmonitor with digi-samples)

Bergen party
The first part, which contains a map of Norway.
The second part, with info about this party arranged by Full Force, Shadows, Megastyle & Science451.
(This demo was not coded by a S451-member, but I added it here anyway)

Chockwave delay
In retrospect, I have no idea what I was thinking when I was doing this. The music (by Gaunt/Danko) is great, but my code is sloppy, and there is no graphics.

Code: H.O
Music: Gaunt

Come to the party
More a note then a demo.

Contact Spirit
A demo by Spirit were he was looking for new contacts.

Core wars
This is the intro to Core Wars. Once again it's the intro by Polonus that I really like.
The documentation, which was added in case anyone spread this without the docs.
The main part. This is not actually a demo, but rather a game, but I felt it deserved a place in the demo section anyway.

Digital II
The first part of this demo

Credits:
Code: Moskwa TV
The second part, which is Glercs intro

Credits:
Code: Glerc
The third and final part, where the digi samples is the major attraction.

Dreams of tomorrow
The intro
Part 1 of this demo. I really like the logo that is used in this part.
The second (and final) part.

Dutch power
Part 1 of this demo, which was the first demo Focus released as members of S451.
Second part of this demo.
Third part of this demo.
Fourth (and final) part of this demo.

El Escaparate
The intro, and again it is one of Glercs intros.
The main part of this demo, released at the Horizon Easter party 91, and to my knowledge the last demo from Science 451.
The main part again. I took two screenshots to display some of the different graphics used.

Electric dreams
This is the intro to this multi-part, multi-file demo. It was made by Ize, as a way to prove that he was good enough to join Science451. Unfortunately, there is no notes of him ever having joined nor does anyone recollect him having been a member. A pity, since this demo is quite good and he would probably have been an asset in Science451.
Part 1 of this demo
Part 2 of this demo
Part 3 of this demo
Part 5 of this demo. As you can see, part 4 is missing since I cant get it to work in CCS64 or VICE
Part 6, the final part of this demo.

Enjoining by: Captain Rock
The first part of this demo made by Captain Rock as he joined S451. To my knowledge this is also the only demo he released for us.
The second part.
The third and final part.

Forgotten bytes
Glercs mega intro, version 1.1

Credits:
Code: Glerc
Music: Fire Eagle (Jeroen Soede)

This first part was coded by Fancy back in 1988, probably during the summer.

Credits:
Code: Fancy

This second part was coded by me, trying to capture the same feeling as the other demo parts.

Credits:
Code: H.O
Music: Tracker

The third and final part was intended as an intro, but I felt it fit better here at the end since the text is so slow and checking for space would make it flicker.

Credits:
Code: Fancy

Fullt ooos
You should recognize this intro ny now ... :)
Part 1 of this demo, with some really nice raster splits.
Part 2, with a logo that changes between S451 & Lloyd (the coder of this part)
Part 3 of this demo.
The fourth (and final) part.

Get amazed
A one-part demo by Hightech.

Glerc's dead
The final version of Glercs intro is used for this final production from Glerc.
This is the only new code in this demo, which Glerc put together to say Farewell. It was released as his last and final production.
This demo part was taken from Back Strike, and put in here.
This demo part was taken from Perfection, and put in here.
This demo part was taken from Back Strike, and put in here.

Hidden science
The intro to Hidden Science, a coop-demo between S451 & THF (although most of the work was made by TBL/S451)
The main part of the demo. Since the main part changes several times, I have taken several screenshots from it.
Also the main part.
Still the main part, here with two scrollers meeting in the middle. While I do like this demo, it is a bit annoying that you have to read all the text to see all parts, since if you press space you just jump to the last part.
Still the main part, here with a FLD-scroll.
More from the main part. The greetings are displayed using 5 scrolls, which at least makes them quick to read.
The final piece of the main part.
This is the last part of the demo, and this is the part from THF.

Hugaligen
Part 1 of this coop demo between Metal Maniac of S451 and Creeper of Death sector
Part 2 of this demos.
A note sent with this demo.

Fourth (and final) part

Merry Xmas!
The intro to this demo.
First part of this demo, wishing everyone a merry xmas in 1988.
Second part.
Third and final part.

Message board
The intro.
This is the message board, an idea used in several S451-productions. I dont remember which was the first -- this or metal dreams -- and it hardly matters now.
The idea is quite simple. When you get this, you can read other messages or add your own. Then you send it further. The problem is of course that the way spreading worked on the c64 products like this didnt have the kind of transfer-chains they needed.

Metal Dreams
Intro to metal dreams.
This is part 1 of metal dreams; a multi-part (multi-file) demo which relied heavy on the cool music (by Gaunt)
Part 2. This in the entry segment for the message board in this demo.
Part 2 again. Here the display part of the message board.
The third and final part.

Midnight Oil
This is part 1 of a demo coded by TDJ (The Dark Judge) as he joined S451 at the Horizon party. A few days later he would form Focus as a sub group of S451.
Second part of this demo.

Misery
The intro to this demo.
Part 1 of this demo, released at an internal party in Mjolby.
The second part.

Mobile Rap
The screenshot is actually a bit unfair to this demo, since it relieas heavy on the sound.

No more smarties
This intro was made by me, but wasnt used in that many productions. One reasone being that the scroll speed was fairly low.

Credits:
Code & Graphics: H.O
In retrospect, I have no idea what I was thinking when I was doing this. The music (by Gaunt/Danko) is great, but my code is sloppy, and there is no graphics.

Octagon
A music rip, done by S451 & Front in cooperation (done at the same time as the coop-demo Krush above, hence the coop)

Main part of this demo. This demo uses color movements and character animations which doesnt show in a screen-shot.

Potholes in my lawn
Intro by Glerc.
Part 1 of this demo. Since you start the scroll by putting a wet finger in Joyport-1, I couldnt get a screenshot with the scroll started.
Part 2 of this demo.
Part 3.
Also part 3, with the logo changed.
Part 4.
Part 5.
Part 6.
The seventh (and final) part.
Also from this part, trying to show the scroller.

Part 3, also G*P+FE
Part 4.
Part 5.
The sixth (and final) part.

S451 logo
Neither code or graphics by S451 here, but since it is a S451-logo, I added it anyway.

Code: MSI
Graphics: TSR
Other half of this logo

S451 Sonics #0001
S451 Sonics 1. Looking at the numbering system, it looked like Hightech was planning a lot of these, but it only ended with 3.

Credits:
Code & Graphics: Hightech
Music: Drake/V42

S451 Sonics #0002
S451 Sonics 2.

U.C.M. rip
Another music rip

Vacations
Intro by Karl XII
This demo was released while we were members of Jewels (right before they broke up). Too bad I never really had time to finish this demo properly, which means there are timing issues with the NMI colorbars, and the scroll is not very good.

Credits:
Code: H.O
Music: JCH

Zschebabb
This demo was released at the Agile Party, and it was our last release before the group split up (with a majority leaving for Sphinx)
